Your Vienna vacation:
Getting there, location & mobility

If you’re planning your Vienna vacation by plane, Superbude Wien Prater is the perfect place to stay. You can reach us comfortably from the airport in around 30 minutes.

Travelling to Vienna by train is just as easy: the main train station is about 15 minutes away – ideal if you want to arrive relaxed and sustainably.

For anyone who wants to get around flexibly and affordably, a multi-day public transport ticket is well worth it. If you’d like free entry to more than 70 sights, the Vienna Pass is highly recommended. Alternatively, the city is perfect for exploring on foot or by bike – and at Superbude, bikes are available to borrow free of charge.

Vienna vacation with your dog:
Absolutely!

Travelling to Vienna with your dog is especially relaxed: the green Prater, one of the largest city parks in Europe, is right on our doorstep. Here, you and your four-legged friend can enjoy long walks together.

Experience Vienna: from the Wurstelprater to the Stuwerviertel

Vienna offers adventure for every mood:
At the Wurstelprater, you can aim high – or stay grounded and soak up classic fairground vibes.

Right around Superbude lies the Stuwerviertel, a neighbourhood in transition. Once notorious, now creative, colourful, and full of life. Grab a Leberkäse sandwich, stroll through the Grätzl, and discover traditional taverns, modern cafés, and small local shops.

Haven’t quite understood? Here’s another short presentation for the perfect city trip to Vienna.

Sissi kitsch, Lipizzaners, and Sachertorte. Is that how you picture Vienna? Surely not! Vienna can do a lot more than its reputation implies. In our opinion the neighborhood around the Superbude has the means to become one of the most exciting places in this splendid and morbidly beautiful city.

The Stuwerviertel is a colourful, lively, and steadily growing neighborhood. Up to a few years ago it was known as a seedy place. Red light was burning in dark corners and the notorious pimps with their ladies were omnipresent in the streets.

But that has changed. New gastronomy and various creative spaces are part of the change that allows for new things without disdaining the old.

The Stuwerviertel is marked by people who couldn’t be more different from each other while still accepting and understanding one another. Our doors are open for the neighborhood’s old visitors, students who leased a cheap apartment just in time, the shisha bar’s owner around the corner, or for those developing the neighborhood as part of the city. Everyone knows the best stories don’t happen where it’s smooth and clean, but where history was made years ago already.

The red light diners still exist but have received new company in the form of a few cafés and cozy taverns. The Café Dezentral at Ilgplatz offers various board games to stay up all night long. A few steps away are more neat places such as the Stuwer or the Lamperie, which offers the Viennese Prater classic Langos as well as fancy drinks. There's also a bunch going on at Vorgartenmarkt, you need to try the Mochi Ramen Bar or the Ferment.

If you take the Superbude Vienna’s back door exit, you’ll land right in the Wurstelprater, where the rollercoaster almost skims our hotel and go-karts race behind our backyard. Apart from the world famous Viennese Ferris wheel, there’s also a bunch of old, small, and special rides that are kept alive with a lot of love. A ride on the Liliputbahn through the green Prater won’t make just a child’s heart skip a beat. The green Prater is the largest park in Vienna and invites you to go for a hike or picnic, adventure or play frisbee.
