Digital House Rules of the Superbuden

WiFi, drones, smartphones: there is hardly anything that doesn’t exist anymore. And whatever exists nowadays usually also has a camera and a microphone built in.

In order for you

· to always be sure that your privacy is protected during your stay in one of the Superbuden, and so that
· you always know for what purposes the Superbude internet connection may (and may not) be used,

we have set out a few rules that make life easier for all guests and for us, which we call the “digital house rules”.

1. General Principles

When using electronic devices, particularly cameras, smartphones, and other devices which make it possible to take photographs or film recordings, you must be considerate of other visitors and observe the house rules of Superbude. This means: if other guests feel disturbed by taking of photographs or film recordings, this activity must be stopped. If a member of staff of Superbude requests in a particular situation that images or films are not be made within Superbude or on its premises, this must be respected.

2. Use of Smartphones and Cameras in Certain Superbude Areas

In areas of the Superbude accessible to all guests—reception, bar/restaurant, sanitary facilities—the taking of photographs or film recordings and their publication is fundamentally prohibited, unless Superbude has expressly permitted it. The operation of drones and similar devices is strictly prohibited on the entire Superbude premises.

3. Use of Superbude’s Internet Connection

It is now a well-known phrase that “the internet is not a lawless space”. And it’s true: violating the rights of others—for example, rights under the Copyright Act, personal rights or the right to one’s own image—is prohibited over the internet just as it is “offline”.

In particular, offering copyrighted material via so-called file-sharing platforms is illegal and will also be prosecuted by the respective rights holders. Therefore, it is prohibited to connect computers to Superbude’s wireless network on which such software is installed. As a guest, you are responsible for ensuring that, for the duration of your stay, you or your fellow travelers do not make unlawful use of the internet connection we provide to you. You fully indemnify Superbude from any damages and expenses arising from improper use of the internet connection during your stay.

We wish you a pleasant stay!
