As both a hotel and a home, we believe in a lifestyle made of real moments: good food, interesting people, and an authentic Vienna vibe. Not a one‑size‑fits‑all concept – but an open home that lives and grows.

While other hotels install phones in all the rooms to receive another star, we assume you have your own phone. We took all that technical input and built a self-check-in instead, for all you who visit us regularly, like to check in quickly, and can do without a chat with the crew. Welcome to our Superportal!

While others worry about checking all the boxes on a list to receive more stars, we don’t orientate our actions towards someone else’s list. No, we have our own!

This list states that our guests should have the best time they can in our boutique hotel and always feel as at home as if they were visiting a good friend.

Our plan also dictates the use of real and high quality materials. We won’t use pressed wood for tables, we only use Faitrade & Organic Cotton bed sheets in your room, and we’ve produced our very own BIO organic soap - free of artificial additives and parabene.

Our list also articulates our love for vintage, upcycling, and DIY and that there is a lot to be found if you look closely. All of our rooms and suites have that special something.

As a Hostel, Hotel, & Home we believe that what matters is a certain lifestyle our guests expect - if they bless us with their free time. And we make the best of exactly that! The vibe has to be right, the experience has to be real, the food has to be good, and the company needs to be interesting. That’s what defines a lifestyle hotel.

In the end it’s a matter of taste which hotel is the best in Vienna, whether it has 5 stars or none, which is the prettiest, and which deserves the label design hotel most. We want our visitors to value the fact we don’t fulfill any norms we have to bend into. We prefer to be free of classifications and become a people place.

Our boutique hotel in Vienna was developed together with creative partners from the neighbourhood. The designers have created a world where vintage, craftsmanship, art, and Viennese history intertwine. Inspiration from the surroundings – from aviation to local culture – is reflected in wallpapers, colours, and small details throughout the house.

Every room has its own personality, every suite tells a little story of its own. That’s exactly what makes a boutique hotel special: no two stays are ever the same.

FAQ

Who contributed to the boutique hotel?

Interior decorator Laura Karasinski, founder of Atelier Karasinski, designed the interior in cooperation with Archiguards. The famous Viennese duo also developed the storyline, which centers around the topic of aeronautics, because aviation has influenced the location for many decades.

Good partners from the neighbourhood have also contributed to the Superbude. The creative heads at Supersense, where the analogue is served, the falter, FM4 Radio, and the Angewandte Universität in Vienna.

That’s how the colourful and unusual tapestry, where none resembles another, was created. Whether by category or by storey, the colour schemes vary. The students of the class for ideas were asked to submit their propositions and because there were so many wonderful designs, we readjusted our rooms accordingly.

Can I find good gastronomy close to the Superbude?

Of course! Starting with the NENI restaurant and bar on the roof of Superbude with oriental street food, good drinks, and a terrace with a view of the colourful Prater and skyline of Vienna. The Prater’s classics like Schweizerhaus and Kolarik’s Luftburg are only two minutes away from the hotel by foot.

The Stuwerviertel’s gastronomy is also up and coming (Stuwer, various taverns) and features plenty of clubs right around the corner of the hotel (Pratersauna, VIEIPEE Hip-Hop club, Fluc).

Is there a breakfast?

No, there’s 2! One at NENI on the roof, where you can enjoy your breakfast à la carte from 7 to 11 o’clock with the best view of the city or you can visit the café on the ground floor. The reinterpretations of the egg in a glass let you have breakfast all day long. Just the right thing for late sleepers and morning grouches.

Whether it’s the most grand happenings of the city, our personal restaurant highlights, or the coolest tavern, you’ll get an endless amount of great pointers from us! Those who prefer a personal conversation with locals are welcome to stop by our reception at any time. We always have an open ear and a secret pointer ready.

Where is the boutique hotel located?

The Superbude Vienna is perfectly located to discover Vienna in all its facets.The U1 and U2 will quickly bring you to the most important destinations in the inner city and Vienna’s center. Vienna’s Prater and the accompanying park and amusement park are right around the corner, as well as the up and coming Stuwerviertel which will allure you with its authentic gastronomy and good clubs. The perfect starting point for your visit.

What is the price of an overnight stay at the boutique hotel?

The prices for our rooms start at 79 €. We also offer a number of themed and shared rooms, in which an overnight stay per person can be much cheaper depending on capacity.

Do you host events at the Superbude?

Of course! Very many actually. We believe our lifestyle hotel can’t go without the matching vibe. That’s why there’s always something going on in our lobby. Whether it’s a lounge concert, lecture, or workshop on fascinating topics, there’s always something to see! Our neighborhood is also always welcome in our Open Home, because the Superbude is for everyone!
